This branch-circuit wiring is designed for patient care areas. These include hospitals, medical centers, and other health care facilities (when installed in accordance with NEC Articles 517 and 330, and mechanically protected per Article 300.4). This cable is constructed with solid soft-drawn copper Type THHN circuit conductors. Applications require redundant, dedicated, or isolated grounding paths. This wire is fished or embedded in plaster. Additionally, installation must be done in cable tray or approved.
